Ok.  Well you have fun trying to have an intellectual discussion with fascists about the merits of their actions and while you’re at it hope that the community shops they’re smashing in, people of ethnic minority they’re attacking or unionists they’re trying to start a fight with don’t run out before they decide you’re a much better focus for their attention.

Because that’s the point of anti-fascist action.  Realising that when people form massed gangs of thugs with the intention of hurting communities and beating human beings to a bloody pulp, you go out and do something to stop them as a community.  You don’t say “oh they’re only marching in the Asian area of Birmingham, that doesn’t effect me.”  You don’t try and do a ring round through the phone-book and try and have a discussion with them as to why they’re wrong.  Because when fascists march they don’t really care about a single intellectual pacifist saying “no guys we need to talk about this some more!”

It just makes me lol. Like ok, its alright for people not threatened by fascists to debate them on the internet, cool. In Russia right now Neo-Nazis are kicking the shit out of immigrants, murdering them on the streets, putting every one of them at risk. Should Russian Anti-Fascists up and say, “well, we cant convince them with the power of words, lets find new ways to strengthen out arguments”? No. They are going to beat the shit out of the fascists, and its got nothing to do with bravado and everything to do with protecting people from being killed. Hell, the quote itself says, “if you cannot convince”. Have you tried talking to most fascists? Go on stormfront and give it a try, i dare you.
